I began my acupuncture career 20+ years ago in 1998, immediately after graduating from the Maryland Institute for Traditional Chinese Medicine. I was invited to practice in the office of one of my respected Chinese professors and an integrative medical doctor. Concurrently, I worked at a wellness center in Gaithersburg.

I learned a great deal practicing in those environments including what I believed to be the best practice environment for my patients and myself. In March of 2000, my current office and wellness center, Hands on Health Acupuncture was born.

In 2019, the office was completely refurbished to include a new community acupuncture room. Beginning in 2020, in addition to individual acupuncture, Hands on Health will offer community acupuncture services under the name Rockville Community Acupuncture.

From the beginning, I have been in love with the learning and practice of Chinese Medicine. Over the years, I have taken and continue to take many continuing education programs. The practice of Chinese Medicine is thousands of years old and is currently being adapted and combined with western knowledge in ever growing, exciting and effective ways. In addition to clinical acupuncture courses and biomedical courses, I have integrated the study of Qi Gong in my growth as a practitioner. Qi Gong is the study and practice of working with energy. It is done with both movement and meditation.

My treatments today are an aggregate of these years of study and practice. I learn more every day with every patient.

My goal with each patient is to bring relief of symptoms and optimal health as quickly and efficiently as possible. Your whole body, mind and spirit are all a part each treatment, and I take great pride and joy daily in seeing people leave my office with greater health.
